Use the Zoom and Pan tool to view your model
LayOut provides several options to help you navigate your documents. The Zoom tools (
) and the Pan Tool (
) can help you focus on a specific part of your document or give you a wider view of your whole document.
Zoom
There are several ways to zoom in LayOut. You can scroll with your mouse, or perform a two-finger swipe with a touchpad. There are also other options offering faster or more precise zooming. You can also activate these in the View menu, toolbar icons, or shortcuts.
Panning
The Pan tool (
) helps you move around a page’s current view without changing the zoom level. Activate the Pan tool through the following methods:
Using the default keyboard shortcut (H).
With a three-button mouse, hold down the scroll wheel.
With an Apple Magic Mouse, hold down the mouse button and press CMD+Ctrl+Shift.
Selecting Pan from the View menu.
When active, click and drag in the document area to pan around your document.
Trackpad Navigation (MacOS)
If you're using MacOS and have a touchpad you pinch to zoom on your touchpad. You can also activate two-finger panning by following these steps:
Navigate to LayOut > Preferences in the file menu.
Select General .
Select Enable Two Finger Pan.
